STRENGTH

In our pursuit to become better at functional movements, it is important to understand that the body is a complicated piece of machinery that always looks for the path of least resistance when completing a task. Since there are challenging, or advanced movements present in the world of functional fitness, isolated strength training/ functional bodybuilding could be just what you need! Keeping movements “strict” could be just what you need to build the required strength and take you functional performance to the next level.

In a strength class, you can expect to focus on isolated, weight resisted training. This is to improve strength in all the muscles present when performing functional movements like Olympic lifting or gymnastics. A good example of this is improving the strength of your triceps in order to equip it for locking out heavy barbells overhead, or keeping the elbows locked out as you learn to walk on your hands for the first time.

Each session focusses on pulling, as well as pushing movements. A member can expect to experience muscle growth, improvements in strength and greater muscle awareness by attending this one hour class regularly
